So where is BGB routing ??? Do they have only one connection ?

Still down, I guess.... Anyway, they claim to have 4xDS3. Last time when they down for around 3 or 4 hours, Charles claimed that the reason was because they move their sites to a different server (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=5666). So I am not sure what the reason this time...

cheers,

I have never said we hav 4x T3 lines, we have 2x t3 lines we are opening aup a new redundant facility and are bringing in our existing t3 lines and adding 2x more for a total of 4x. Were having a problem with quest, and are working towards a reosolution. This is the first downtime we have had in for ever, and yes the only other time our site was down is when we moved web srvs.

Well as you know this is the first down time weve had in a while, we are working towards a quick resolution, youll be happy to know our new facility will have no single point of failure.

The entire OC3 went down apparant. theyve got it back up now, but its taking for ever for the router to start advertising the IP's again for propogation.

When VDI went down, we also have Redundant connections, but if there are no routing tables .. welp no network access.

I have been seeing strange outages lately and starting to wonder of "something sneaky going on".

Even the backbones have been "keeping" in the dark on the issues.

I personaly think there is a cisco exploit causing issues.

It is just a little strange that over one weekend 2 different networks have similar problems as each other.

So when will this router / IP thingie be working again? And does anyone know if any kind of compensation will be offered for this downtime? Just wondering ...

I have dedicated server in dtwebworks :( and already got few emails with complaints... thanks God my main web site is on different server.

A few more hours and I'll be out of hosting business...

Yeah, I'm wondring if they give us any compensation because I'll have to offer my customers something extra...

Charles,

hostingdude = tomeko

I forgot my password and couldn't post to WHT as tomeko (I had my pass on the dead server :( )

I can say I haven't had any problems with dtwebworks until today.

The speed was really good, uptime aslo, I called to support once about 6am and there was someone who help me out... pretty good.

Ok. Server is up again so I'm going to reply my angry customers...

Regards,
Tomek O.

We have restored service, the problem lied with quest so it was out of our hands. Customers who wish to be credited for their downtime please email charles@dtwebworks.com with your server ID#.

How are we going to prevent this?
Your connectivity is VERY VERY important to us in fact in the rare case of something like today happening, it hurts me personally as I know you guys rely on the connection for you business.
We are therefore in the process of building a new NOC from the ground up, the NOC will be located compeltly below ground to maintain constant cool temperatures and to withstand environmental situations such as tornados, it
will feature up to 4 backbones with for sure UUNET, Sprint, and Adelphia, Quest was slated for fiber into our facility but were very dissappointed with how they handled todays situation, so their contract is being reviewed. Our facility will feature computerized entry accounting, security patrol, etc...

Basically what Im getting at is were here for the long run and your business and servers is very important to us...

They're called Qwest ... doh :)

That's good to know Charles! When will the new NOC be operative?

Qwest service is absolutely horrendous on the East Coast.
Their routing people have not a clue as to what they are doing. I will never again do business with any host that uses Qwest as their primary provider on the East Coast. Secondary lines from them is fine, because they do have a great backbone. Just don't count on them too much technically.

That sounds great, Charles!

Will all the servers be moved there?
