Hi all,
I'm looking to get a budget reseller (around $8/mo). My needs aren't great - upto 20 cP accounts, 5GB space and 8GB bandwidth/transfer would probably be ideal. My websites are largely 'experimental' and low-volume and there'll also be a few personal blogs - nothing too resource-consuming I don't think!

So far, I've come across ResellerZoom (http://http://www.resellerzoom.com/cheap-reseller-hosting.shtml) and eHostPros (http://http://ehostpros.com/reseller/reseller.html). So far, the reviews I've read have been largely negative - the problem is that all these reviews are from 2003-2005ish.

Can anyone give me an up-to-date picture or suggest a similar host given my circumstances?

Cheers!

Just by doing a quick search for ResellerZoom came up with these two:

You could also try a search for Hostingzoom, as they are essentially the same company. ResellerZoom only recommends their budget plans for static websites though, not too sure how your blogs would go.

I'm guessing you're after a US based provider?

Well part of the reason your seeing bad reviews is that those are really budget packages, so some people will expect too much and then not be quite so happy.

I'd really suggest upping your budget and doing some research on here as it will benefit you in the long run.

Your budget maybe enough shared hosting. But it's low for a reliable reseller hosting. If you are looking for a reliable solution when I recommend increase it to $20/month. Then you can find a lot of reliable reseller hosting solutions.

Cheers for the helpful and prompt responses!

I'm aware that my budget is pretty low, but none of the websites are generating income, it's all experimental at the moment really so that's why I've got such a low budget! I'd go for shared but I have a lot of different sites and having them all on the same shared plan gets messy in my experience!

THanks also to Cats-Computing, I'm not sure how I overlooked those threads, but after reading them I feel my usage would be fine for a budget account but as dhcart and Tim have recommended, I'll be doing some more research on here first! I'm not necessarily looking for a US based provider, there's not enough traffic for server location to be a real criteria! It's just the cheapest ones tend to be US based but it really doesn't matter.

Anyone know how eHostPro's compare?
Thanks :)

If you think that a budget account with RZ would be fine, you can just try them out: they have a 30-day money back guarantee so there is no risk.

Your budget really fit resellerzoom's budget plans.
I think you should have no problem when hosting small websites.
