Cheaper, maybe ti does the same as the other one, but for less?

A bit more expensive, yet it says it can do various formats:

Really, I don't like Quicktime all that much and would like the ability to choose the format, though I'm not sure which is better/worse really. Maybe AVI or MPEG (maybe you know something about this).
Any thoughts? Anyone have these or similar products and can tell me if the more expensive one is *just* more expensive???

They both do seem to be relatively the same thing. However, I would check into the D-link model a bit further to see what resolutions it works at. I would also check out what software the D-link comes with, you can have a great capture device with poor software and you will end up paying perhaps more than the $99.95 model in the long run.

I use this one myself. It's pretty simple to use (the software), and it installed in no time. It's hardly a pro system but should be as good as the one's you mentioned

Ding! That is actually the one I was looking for! Except I could only find a newer version that runs $250+ which is just a bit more than I want to pay for something I'll use only now and then.
Good point about the software though. That one doesn't need external power, eh? And it makes good vids? Have anything uploaded that I can take a look at by chance?

Chooken,
Yeah, it was buried under Mac type things. I don't know why as it runs on Win and has Win software *shrug* I actually spent a great deal of time trying to get someone at CompUSA to commit to an answer whether it would work or not *lol*
The more expensive Dazzle does seem to be better, and I was thinking about getting that one (It was only $199 at the time too), but the cheaper one is just fine.
Don't have anything online though I'll upload something produced through it. Hope you like baby videos *lol* I'll let you know when it's up. :)

Oh forgot to mention, yeah it runs under it's own steam - just plug in into a USB prot and you're rolling.
I just emailed you btw. Let me know what you think...

Danke... meanwhile I'll get my finger off the mouse for a day and see if anyone else has one of these puppies. The web, so impulsive.
Ohhh, and completely unrelated, I'm thinking of getting a Sony camcorder (well somewhat related), and am torn between these two:
Really good price on this, as outpost and most everywhere else seems to have it for $500 (hopefully not refurbished?):

-and the lower model from Outpost (which I trust more, just by the look of the site, haven't ordered from either ever):
