That happens, I remember that my first or second order was an spammer :P

That proves that a good research before you place an order is a MUST these days.

There is a load of companies out there both known and unknown, you have to do your homework first.

Sorry to here for your loss. It bound to happen. Most of the time it comes in spurts. Hopefully you just went through yours and it want happen again for a while. :)

It's summer, what do you expect?

I get a lot of my fraud orders coming in on a daily basis during the summer. Mostly during the winter/spring seasons I do not see the fraud orders nearly as often.

MaxMind detects most fraud for AH. I go behind it and manually screen every order, but we still get the occasional spammer.

It's a fact of life nowadays, I get an awful lot of fraud orders but almost all of them are spotted by maxmind or by myself before they are activated.

I remember my first order was also fraud when I started, I recall quit a few other hosts also sharing the experience.

All of my orders for about the first 2 or 3 weeks were all fraud. Not sure why spammers seem to hit NEW web hosts so hard??? I wouldn't even know how to search for brand new web hosts efficiently :)

Come to think of it, my first two orders were marked as fraud.

Our first orders were spammers - it's something you get used to. :)
