What is your favorite font face? What is your favorite standard font face? I'm curious to know. :)

Mine:
- Xenotron
- Verdana

Snap fonts for logo designing and verdana/arial for text. These are widely used fonts.

Verdana, by far. But for certain graphics it just won't suit. :)

Can't beat Verdana and Arial. Tahoma works too sometimes.

In my opinion, times new roman looks very amateurish. I think thats why most people don't like it, could be wrong though. :)

I also like the pixelated fonts as seen on quite a few sites these days. E.G. 2.a.d.v.a.n.c.e.d :stickout

I dislike times, because I think it is busier, and therefore hard to read.
Arial, is ok is small sizes, but to wide looking in larger sizes.
Verdana, or tahoma is nice and clean.

I use verdana the most. Arial is also a favourite for chat messagers. I like 'Pixel' like fonts for designing, it looks brilliant.

Verdana for normal text.
Carpenter ICG for script.
Minion as a nicer, smoother alternative to Times New Roman.

Plus dozens of others.

It depends on the use of the font.

Verdana and Arial are excelent screen fonts. They are easy to read and soft on the eyes due to their rounded edges.

Garamond is my favorite print font for papers, books, etc. It looks professional, prints well, and looks good.

However, when I am writing research papers, my answer would be Georgia, hands down. Georgia is slightly wider than most fonts, so when you print it, even at normal size, it takes more room on the page. :) Good way to make it look like you did a lot of work and impress the teacher. heh heh Georgia is also an excelent book font, and is used in lots of older novels (I believe the Everyman Library books use Georgia), and computer-related books (I believe O'Reilly uses Georgia in most of its books).

Wingdings is good when you don't want anyone, including yourself, to understand what you are typing.

Helvetica is an excelent font because it looks the same both on the PC and the Mac when you print them. I can't find _too_ many fonts like that.

Just my thoughts.

for regular text, nothing beats Arial. Verdana looks better in bold though

Verdana is my favourite, followed by Tahoma and Helvetica.

I don't really like Times New Roman and never have.

For paid fonts, my favorite would be that font that New Architect uses for its body text (whatever it's called). If I was restricted to free fonts though, I'd choose Verdana. :D

Verdana, Arial and Tahoma.

Times is for long text - the round edges makes it easier to read but a bit messing on clean cut designs.
