I'm curious to know. :) Mine: - Xenotron - Verdana ned patter 09-01-2002, 10:35 AM Verdana if that's considered a font face. hosthero 09-01-2002, 10:44 AM Arial, Verdana & Ms Sans serif! All microsoft promoted fonts! :) Haley 09-01-2002, 12:39 PM Snap fonts for logo designing and verdana/arial for text. These are widely used fonts. XTStrike 09-01-2002, 12:45 PM Times New Roman (cos i like the way it looks) and Tahoma (for simple looking stuff, its a nice clean font) InterServ-JB 09-01-2002, 01:00 PM Arial & Verdana JonB 09-01-2002, 01:03 PM Verdana or Helvetica Bannaz 09-01-2002, 01:09 PM Verdana, by far. But for certain graphics it just won't suit. :) mlovick 09-01-2002, 01:10 PM Verdana - if not Arial. I h8 Times! Why is Times always default :-( AceWeb 09-01-2002, 01:10 PM I LOVE Times New Roman, but for some reason many people do not like it, I nenver get why. mtgm 09-01-2002, 01:13 PM Can't beat Verdana and Arial. Tahoma works too sometimes. Bannaz 09-01-2002, 01:36 PM In my opinion, times new roman looks very amateurish. I think thats why most people don't like it, could be wrong though. :) viGeek 09-01-2002, 02:51 PM Verdana, its clean and professional :) hosthero 09-01-2002, 03:21 PM I also like the pixelated fonts as seen on quite a few sites these days. E.G. 2.a.d.v.a.n.c.e.d :stickout FDrive 09-01-2002, 03:39 PM Definately Verdana Bannaz 09-01-2002, 04:13 PM I believe this forums font is verdana. :) ATST 09-01-2002, 04:29 PM I dislike times, because I think it is busier, and therefore hard to read. Arial, is ok is small sizes, but to wide looking in larger sizes. Verdana, or tahoma is nice and clean. Axel Teflon 09-01-2002, 04:31 PM I use verdana the most. Arial is also a favourite for chat messagers. I like 'Pixel' like fonts for designing, it looks brilliant. secludo 09-01-2002, 05:14 PM Verdana for normal text. Carpenter ICG for script. Minion as a nicer, smoother alternative to Times New Roman. Plus dozens of others. zRedDice 09-01-2002, 05:39 PM It depends on the use of the font. Verdana and Arial are excelent screen fonts. They are easy to read and soft on the eyes due to their rounded edges. Garamond is my favorite print font for papers, books, etc. It looks professional, prints well, and looks good. However, when I am writing research papers, my answer would be Georgia, hands down. Georgia is slightly wider than most fonts, so when you print it, even at normal size, it takes more room on the page. :) Good way to make it look like you did a lot of work and impress the teacher. heh heh Georgia is also an excelent book font, and is used in lots of older novels (I believe the Everyman Library books use Georgia), and computer-related books (I believe O'Reilly uses Georgia in most of its books). Wingdings is good when you don't want anyone, including yourself, to understand what you are typing. Helvetica is an excelent font because it looks the same both on the PC and the Mac when you print them. I can't find _too_ many fonts like that. Just my thoughts. James JFWS 09-01-2002, 05:44 PM Georgia is the best replacment for Times New Roman Georgia is designed for a Monitor Times New Roman Was created for print. JFWS Justice 09-01-2002, 05:47 PM for regular text, nothing beats Arial. Verdana looks better in bold though shaunewing 09-01-2002, 10:40 PM Verdana is my favourite, followed by Tahoma and Helvetica. I don't really like Times New Roman and never have. --Shaun Phrozen 09-01-2002, 10:50 PM Arial or Verdana. I do not like Tmes New Roman at all... even for printed materials I use Arial or Verdana. mind21_98 09-01-2002, 11:53 PM For paid fonts, my favorite would be that font that New Architect uses for its body text (whatever it's called). If I was restricted to free fonts though, I'd choose Verdana. :D CritticAge 09-02-2002, 01:26 AM Verdana, Arial and Tahoma. Times is for long text - the round edges makes it easier to read but a bit messing on clean cut designs. iamdave 09-02-2002, 05:35 AM Garamond, 04B_08. edude 09-02-2002, 05:41 AM :agree: verdana :D dreamrae.com 09-02-2002, 08:54 AM font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10px; font-style: normal; line-height: normal; font-weight: normal; :D :D dgessler 09-02-2002, 08:57 AM Verdana Tahoma Trebuchet MS :D Onture 09-02-2002, 01:42 PM Tahoma 4 ever :) MGCJerry 09-02-2002, 01:52 PM For Websites, I use: Verdana Helvetica Arial - for small writing Graphics: Arial Gaze Reports and papers: MGCScript (yes, my handwriting ;) ) |
