Seems to me that RaQs are on the decline. Anyone agree with this statement?

We are not buying anymore.... Just too expensive and with all the control panels out there, there really is not a need for them now.

We still see strong demand for them.

It's a Love/Hate thingy... Either ya Love 'em or you Hate 'em

Considering sun's point of view. Why would they discontinue the thingy. When they release a package the proffesional services department has work for months again, cleaning up the damage from the latest pkg. :-)

This some sort of self maintaining system you never get out of work....

I agree on the you love them or you hate them.

I dont like them very much - limited hardware growth (i dont know about raq5), there are better control panels and its expensive - the only advantage is the easy setup with the little screen on the front IMHO

IMHO they're a good starter server if your NOC hasn't got cheap licenses for other cp's... but it's a definite love/hate relationship

Well IMHO most people are going to hate cobalt a LOT when the have a system wide crash and then they are hearing that cobalts backup solutions are not working actually. Well they work but you need to set it up again the way you did it the first time....
In sort terms, cobalt is VERY infelxible in my point of view.

But we keep using them i think.

Everyone I know uses raqbackup.sh, and anyone that solely relies on a backup to completely restore their server is fooling themselves.
