View Full Version : What is the cheapest registrar for .com domain you can get
OnlineRack 08-05-2008, 11:37 PM What is the cheapest registrar for .com domain you can get without having to buy additional service or hosting?
do they have a reseller program? if you sign up with their reseller account, can you offer lower then them (at your cost)?
thank you
dwrunyon 08-06-2008, 12:20 AM Cheapest for .coms I've seen is 1&1, presently 6.99yr plus free private registration.
Tvirus 08-06-2008, 12:27 AM Netfirms seems to be $5.95/yr for .com/net/org. You might google around for cheap domains, and see what other options you have. When purchasing domains, also having a nice domain controller/manager helps, so you don't have to contact the registrar for simple tasks.
OnlineRack 08-06-2008, 12:30 AM do you know if 1and1 or Netfirms hava a reseller account..
how about Netfirms? how is the control panel for these guys?
N|Kitmitto 08-06-2008, 12:57 AM Namecheap.com isn't the cheapest, but cheap and the panel and support OMG! It's to die for!

name.com is $5.99 for new .com's, $7.99 for renewals and transfers.
petzsch 08-06-2008, 04:39 AM resellonet.net (ThePlanet's Registrar Business) is $6.49 for register/transfer/renewal of .com, .net, .org, .biz, .info, .us

But no idea for how long that is going to last as it seems they've just been leazy to change their prices when the registries did. In the beginning you pay either 99 USD setup fee or make a prepayment of 1000 USD.

Agreed. :agree:
You have resellerclub.com at $6.99(free privacy) too.. not the cheapest.. but a system to pay for.. they are essential reseller based.. so that might suit your needs too.. i have about 150 domains with them..
Also, I dont think name.com is offering the $5.99 anymore.. it was a promo they were running for a while..
Aorozco 08-06-2008, 12:23 PM 6.50 in domaincentral, seek url in this forum
RalphC 08-06-2008, 01:21 PM name.com seems to be the best prices for new registrations. name.com even has free private registration.
NetHosted - Bret 08-06-2008, 03:51 PM I would reccomend www.xeodomains.co.uk or www.xeodomains.com.
£3.99 per year plus free privacy protection. Not the cheapest, but very good quality and I've got around 10 domains with them now. Highly reccomended.

Aorozco 08-07-2008, 07:42 AM Warning !!! fscked, they are glo-bat !
EasyGoingGuy 08-07-2008, 02:46 PM As already mentioned, ResellOne is probably the cheapest that has an API.
Netfirms has a low one-year price, then the price jumps to $9.95 / year.
The_Dominator 08-07-2008, 03:08 PM a lot of effort to save like 2 - 4 dollars a year - even if you had 100 domains and a savings of 400 dollars and it takes you weeks to sort out API, billing, etc
just buy them from a company that will give you support and anything 10 dollars or lower for a .com is good

Weeks to sort out API? There are plenty of examples and scripts readily available that will get you running within an hour.
