I have a really simple question: Do you need to put an alias in of the user name?

Example: I ahve user jdoe, With the real name John Doe. If I want him to have jdoe@abc.com AND john.doe@abc.com, do I need to add both jdoe and john.doe aliases, or is the jdoe assumed, and I only need the john.doe alias?

Only john.doe - and the other isn't assumed, it is *the user*.
