I have a question that is really well dumb but I have to ask, My Friend(yeah him, not me) is planning to buy a .us domain and make subdomains to it looks like
schoolname.ca.us/folder and I wanted to know can he get in trouble for doing something like this ? I told him hes going to get somehow in trouble but I needed the advice of fellow wht members.

Well Really what he is doing is making his site appear like another site, so kinda like phishing except hes not taking any personal information , does that make any sense ?

It may not be kosher but it isn't illegal (as long as he's not phishing). If his host starts getting complaints about the site, since he is using deception, he may get shut down.
