The system was created by a friend of mine who no longer has time to update the code, he is aware of the issues in it but has no time to recode.
I don't want to use any of the ree systems out there as i find them to be one o the following:
Featureless
To many features (bloat)
Not implemented in a way i feel easy to use etc

Basically what i am after is a gallery system with near enough the same features you see there.
However it needs a few more added to it:
Sub Cats etc
Password protected albums with maybe expire time
Multi image upload

Current old system limitations that should also be fixed/addressed to stop the site owner (me) going mad (lol):
When the image is uploaded etc it MUST auto get the image EXIF data, the current way it's done is the image is uploaded and inserted into the database then you need to click a second button to add the EXIF data to the image. I would rather have this all done when the image is being added to the database etc.
The current system has issues with Image resize on upload, sometimes it won't do it. Hell sometimes it reuses to upload :(
