View Full Version : Thank you for visiting the WHT booth
the_pm 08-01-2008, 10:18 AM Hey everyone,
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who visited the WHT booth this year. I've had the pleasure of meeting members through the booth for the past three years now, and it's definitely one of the highlights of being a part of this community for me, getting to put a real face and name with the people I've come to know online.
Thanks also to everyone who sported their WHT usernames on their badges. I hope you met people you otherwise might never have known! Maybe next year we'll have an official handwriting expert to fill them out - some of y'all have awfully squirrely writing :emlaugh: (too much time at the computer?).
RyanD 08-01-2008, 10:31 AM My handwriting wasn't that bad :)
CArmstrong 08-01-2008, 11:27 AM I'll second what Paul said. :) It was great meeting everyone who stopped by!

WHT badge with username was a great idea. It was interesting to see how the images of some users in my had and the real person differed. Over the years you create some mental image of how somebody look like. But when you see them in person, its difficult to integrate the virtual image and reality.
By the way can iNet print out out the usernames next year. Since inet owns hostingcon, I am assuming you will know who is attending the trade show and who are members. other wise when people signup just ask whats your wht username. It can avoid, the squinting eyes to read the usernames.

AjiThat's a great question! If the conference sign-up form has an optional space for WHT Username, is there any reason this couldn't be done?

RyanD 08-01-2008, 03:48 PM I'll make sure to put anon-e-mouse in the box when it asks for WHT username... :)
SoftWareRevue 08-02-2008, 08:54 AM  Let me see if we have a rule (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/rules.php) that talks about impersonating WHT staff. :wht:
:evilb:
paymerica1 08-04-2008, 10:29 AM It was great meeting everyone, I appreciate the insight on everything.

rynet91 08-20-2008, 07:13 PM I'll go next year
SoftWareRevue 08-20-2008, 07:19 PM Not that I can see:wht:I think you better go back and read those again. ... you may not use custom titles to impersonate, or attempt to impersonate, WHT Staff, user groups, or any entity you are not associated with.
There may be more you haven't seen. :look:
N|Kitmitto 08-20-2008, 08:40 PM Is there one about loving SWR too much?
SoftWareRevue 08-20-2008, 08:41 PM That'd never happen.
