Greetings. I have been a multi-year searcher and reader of these forums.
In my work as a strategic marketing consultant/coach and advisor to B2B companies as well as in the web marketing management work my company provides for them, I am regularly asked to recommend good hosting companies to my clients.
Thus I use WHT to evaluate hosts, to see how they respond to criticism and also their special offers. Then I refer good hosts to my clients.
At one point a few years ago I went the reseller route and resold hosting to my clients. But found it entirely time consuming and outside my expertise. I like building lead generation machines for my clients and the marketing required to do that.. I dislike supporting email and hosting issues.
As my team ends up dealing with the hosting providers, I want great ones. Reliable, contactable and responsive.
