If we are getting between 5-10 signups everday, what type of webhosting company size would that make us (we have dedicated machines) we are basically buying a new machine every month as we fill out the .255 ips. http://www.frontserve.com.

Gee ---

"If I had a billion dollars, how rich would I be? Because since I am so rich, I need to buy a new Ferrari each week just so I can say I can!

Here's my number: 555-1212. Call me!"

Your post is self promoting (thus breaking forum rules), and quite unappropriate here. Please take this to advertisements.

I must agree this is a stupid question.

It is now. It was moved from General Webhosting by Chicken (I believe)

OK.. makes sense... Anyway, 10-15 signups per day is quite good! Impressive, I think....

Especially since it is Win2K (for now)

let me jump in here and ask a question..

I am in charge of frontserve.com and had a question for this board, since I know that most of this board concentrates mostly on the unix platform, have your sign ups increase/decrease or stay the same during the last 6-12 months? (if you don't mind asking)

We are thinking of offering Unix plans using pwebtech.com (WHM and CPanel3) but wondering if it is too competitive already and not worth jumping in. We are doing good in Win2K but I just want to hear if it is worth it; do you guys predict that demand for Unix go up or stay the same for the next year or two??

Especially since most developers are already starting to use CF, ASP, SQL and many other development tools geared toward the Win2K community.

Thanks for your help...

I have the exact same question.... Apache domination as a web server seems to become less and less over time... The number has dropped to 60% the last time I heard... How about MS NT/IIS? how is its growth rate?

Netcraft has released the latest figures from their February survey (http://www.netcraft.com/survey/). It seems that Apache and Microsoft are both holding their percentages slightly, with Apache just wavering a bit.

It's a reasonable estimate when they measure 28 million sites ;)

Thank you very much, BC! What a beautiful graph! I think I can do exponential fitting on Apache and IIS plots :D :D very interseting... It seems both Apache and IIS are leveling off too....

cheers,

You might want to work on support first. I'm still waiting for a response to an email I sent you guys yesterday...
