I cant really think of any UK designers, try checking out a few sites from here:

You could also try the UK Web Design Association (http://www.ukwda.com). However you'll find that a lot of design studios either don't register with them or later request removal because of the hidious amount of spam received as a result of being in their directory.

and just ask around for any designers needing work (from the UK). Or you can do that here too.

Give them a look

Try picking up a copy of Internet Works and they have a good list of Web Design Companies. Maybe look at there sites as well at: www.iwks.com
