We use Kayako's LiveSupport Suite. We have had no major complications or issues with this product. However, I have not tried any other support software besides Kayako.

It supports full JavaScript chat. You run an application on your computer. With this application, you can view support tickets, who is viewing the site, what page, send live chat requests (JavaScript window that pops up asking if the client needs help) and an easy to use chat interface that allows for viewing the client's screen. The only issue I have had with the live chat software is the fact that it has a slightly slow response time. However, this has been dramatically improved since version 3.20.02. Their website is kayako.com.

I noticed that your site uses WHMCS for support. Kayako's SupportSuite also has an integration feature that replaces WHMCS's built in support solution. I have tried this in the past, but not extensively. As far as I could tell it works (with a few issues from what I hear,) but this is a brand new feature of the product (released in version 3.20.02. Hopefully they will improve on it in the future.

Hope this helps.

www.providesupport.com seems to be a popular one around here. I haven't used it in a couple years but back then it was top notch for the price.

I second that. We use them and we are very happy.

I tried to get that installed several times but every time it would give me authentication error (logging into admin), but I am 100% sure the info was as I typed it in when installing it. Any special way to getting it to work, or did it just work for you? Maybe I am doing something wrong .

I recall reading something in there FAQ's about it, and what the cause of it is. but i don't remember off hand, but its great it gives you all the features you need to subscribe to the *premium* plans with the other live chat software to get. i have been using it for a couple weeks now and haven't ran into any problems with it yet. i was using a *paid* live chat, and it didn't have half the capabilities of this

I also use stardevelop and it works great. I would try provide support but I try to save in all of the monthly fees possible.

crafty syntax

I would never use this script, or use a service of any host that uses this script. It is completely unprofessional and extremely outdated. But that's only my opinion (eg: there are many other free alternatives that beat craftysyntax to the wall, like helpcenterlive).

If you can afford, liveperson is very good. For budget friendly options you can checkout clickchatsold or boldchat

I have just signed up with providesupport.com $15 for 1 seat is very good.

I like the geo map showing where your visitors are from, the customer survey at the end of the chat (nice to be able to get feedback, so I can see areas where we need to improve on). I also really like the fact that the main account gets a email showing each chat transcript, very useful for analyzing the chats and working on ways to improve, and especially useful when you employ staff.

Very impressed so far.

I've been using Kayako SupportSuite with their Live Response and it works great so I'd suggest that. You can get the Live Chat alone for $29.95/month and that is unlimited seats you can create.

I had the same thing. I was told by support that my server is running PHP in safe mode. In order to make LiveZilla run you will have to turn that setting off. As I don't have my own server I have to aske my Web Service provider to do it on their server and not all do due to security risks.

I use LiveZilla, it seems to be the best out of all the software. And it's free! Check it out.

Have you thought of SupportTrio and off the company AvidInteractive?

We're using ProvideSupport now and we're looking at moving to a self-hosted solution.

We've been looking at the StarDevelop solution quite a bit however I've been hearing that the desktop application can be quite flaky.

I really like the features of LiveZilla but I would want to be able to remove the branding (Powered by LiveZilla Freeware Support) or whatever it is and I've not been able to find if that's an option or not... Anybody know?
