I'm talking about such programs as Adwords, Bidvertiser , Clicksor...

I have been thinking about using one of these programs to sell my hosting.

I'm wondering how much success someone has had without putting a lot of money in. I know you can set how much you want per click ,something like 0.05$ .

If you have used such program what has been the clicks=sales rate. Does it take you 20 clicks to get a sale?

I guess it's all relative, but if you are bidding on big hosting related keywords (e.g. "web hosting", "dedicated servers", etc.) then you can expect to pay $10+ per click, which will add up quickly.

I realize you're looking for lower cost traffic after re-reading your post. You're best bet is to stick to 2nd tier search engines then (e.g. 7search, abcsearch) or long tail keywords on larger search engines (e.g. "chicago web hosting services") that get less searches. The moral is if you want a lot of high quality traffic, its gonna cost ya :/
