I'm a current customer of Dot5hosting. I've been a customer over 2 months. I'm writing this about for anyone looking for web hosting. This is the best hosting I've seen on the web. Their prices and plans are the best. They also have their own custom plan calculator which is terrific. Their support is the best I've ever seen. They respond less than 24 hours. All plans include the most basic features like PHP, CGI, and etc.

to rate a company I would say you should be with the company atleast 60 days min, cause alot can go wrong in just a few weeks and you see it on this forum all the time , someone raves about a host then you see them later complaining.

Well because when I came here about 2 months ago and did the same thing I felt like I had to defend myself for everything I stated.........Now granted after being here a couple of months I can see a little clearer........But I also have to say that the way some of you jump on and attack a new person really isn't necessary........I mean you (not you in particular) could just tell the person ,Come back in a couple of months and let us know how it is going..............It is true it is very difficult to really know very much about your host at signup or within a couple of days,other than how promptly they responded to your requests and how quickly they set you up, but geez why do many of you feel you must attack ......... rather than help them to understand that their review of the host will be better appreciated after being with them for a while.

Just my opinion of value only to me

sparrow, my comments wern't intent to flame dot5 or first time posters ;) They seem like a very good company , and I agree people tend to jump on first time posters pluggin a company.

Well as I said I did not mean any one in particular but I have seen so many threads in the last couple of months that just seem to turn into flaming or bashing and I think it is a shame , because this forum (to me anyway) seems to be a very valuable tool in the search for a reputable host and also to get many answers. Whether it be technical or newbie type questions. I am not a reseller and my sites are strictly for my own pleasure. I have a mailing list of some 500 that download from my site as I update but that is as commercial as I get. I came here originally after the Cyberwings fiasco and (no I did not have 3.90 hosting) I had close to 200. invested ,and someone gave me the url for this site and I am happy to say that I found a reputable host with the help of many on this board. But when I did find my host in dot5
I immediately posted what a wonderful difference ( that was mistake number one) I realize now that I should have waited for a while but I was just so impressed with the response time and setup time that I wanted to tell everyone thanks........Anyway I apologize for being so long winded . Just hoping to express an opinion and maybe say cut the new guys a little slack. Not all of us have been around as long as you people on the board.

I fear complaint may start at dot5 soon...after these compliments.

All good things generally come to and end I agree, although we have a dedicated support team so I hope it will never come to that.

Don't forget having alot of customers from this forum has a downside, because when you are having problems, and every host has a few, they will post like crazy here..

So wht can bring you alot of customers, but also can be your downfall.
