What are the average salaries for a full time web hosting tech support staff? From visiting around, it seems to be like $40K in the US, which seems high to me...

Here is what I found:

You are forgetting differences in the cost of living. Someone who makes $40k a year in a place like havertown PA would need ot make over $90k a year to maintain the same style of living in New York City.

Secondly, are you talking first level tech support, or are you talking tier 3 with someone who actually has a clue and doesnt follow a flow chart to make a living?

I'm curious about the Atlanta, GA area. I im'd a Earthlink Web Hosting support staff out of curiosity, and he said entry is $30-$35K, more depending on the level of unix experience you have.

If you are a web host tech support person, I would love to hear how much you make!

Thanks, kb
