I have several resellers, but I cam currently with Hostopia. We are moving to dedicated servers, and have not handled this before. What software is there for handling setting up reseller accounts?

If you're using cpanel, you can use transfer function in WHM.
Or you can do backup/restore per account.

Sorry, I did not explain well.
I would like to offer Reseller Hosting similar to your Business Reseller on your site, http://www.premiumreseller.com/businessreseller.htm
I have not used WHM or cPanel, so I do not understand what they can and cannot do.
Do I just use WHM to setup their Reseller accounts?
Does WHM allow me to limit the number of domains, amount of disk space, bandwidth, mysql db's, etc. in that way?

Yes. You can use WHM to setup their reseller account.

And yes, WHM allows you to limit the featurse of each reseller account (eg. if you're selling a "Starter Package" you can create an account and set those starter package features on that account)

cPanel/WHM is exactly what you need.

WHM is used by you and your resellers, by you to setup accounts and control their priviliges.

cPanel is used by the shared hosting customers to manage their account.

Your best bet is probably to talk to your dedicated provider for "advice" or look into getting a managed service to at least help keep the server running and you can quickly get the hang of WHM but you will need to take your time on what settings you will want to use/impose on your customers.

Well, first what control panel will you be using? If you are using cPanel, WHM is included and you'll be able to create reseller accounts, packages, and manage all the reseller accounts. With WHM you have total control over all the reseller accounts you create such as space, bandwidth, features etc. If you get DirectAdmin, there is an admin level where you can create resellers, limit their resources, and create packages.

I will recommand renting a cheap vps with cpanel, so you can play with it before moving your business on a dedicated box... ;)

I agree. It seems you don't really know to much about WHM/cPanel let alone managing a server. Start with a VPS and configure it as if it was your Dedicated Server. Get to know WHM/cPanel, learn how they work, what additional software you need (Billing Wise etc.), server security... In the mean time, you are saving money by learning on a $40 a month VPS as apposed to a $200 per month Dedicated.

Make sure you know exactly what your doing before attempting to host clients.

Good Luck!

Actually one other part to your plan is getting the software that allows you to create sub-resellers.

Most offers in the reseller offers forum come with master reseller : being able to set up sub-resellers.

That's what's included in premiumresellers business reseller package.
If you want to offer that, contact deasoft.

Good Luck!I am only looking at fully managed servers. We are moving from our current custom billing solution to WHMCS. I am getting the dedi this week to start playing with, and should be live with WHMCS by mid September.

If you have cpanel you can use whm to set up reseller accounts. As a recommendation you may want to consider hiring a server admin.
