So.. I have been using onlinenic.com since 2000 and have yet to have a problem until now..

Thursday I registered about 6 .me domain's with onlinenic (ended up seeing that moniker offered them a few pennies cheaper so I used moniker for 1)

Anyways, I noticed .me's can be refunded before 24 hours and I registered two .me's I was iffy about and figured they would be worthless and a waste of $80

Anyways I registered these 2 .me domains on Thursday at 9:26am MST (11:26am EST) I opened a refund ticket on Friday at 7:38am MST (9:38am EST) I ended up getting a response 5 hours later saying it's been past 24 hours so I can't get the refund.

I then tell them to look at my ticket as I submitted my refund 2 hours before my 24 hours were up. I end up getting 3 more responses saying I opened my ticket hours after the 24 hour time frame.

Each response I give more and more details showing my invoices inside onlinenic's panel and telling them to recheck as from the time I submitted my ticket and registering the domain names is correct. They tried saying I opened the ticket at 11am which was not the case it shows the date and time inside there ticket system (kayako)

I'm on my 5th reply and there response was they were going to look into this more.

Now.. I'm not disappointed about the $80 as it's really not an issue. I'm disappointed about the service I'm getting from onlinenic.com when spending over a thousand dollars a year on renewals. It just goes to show you how poor there service is becoming over time. Won't honor something they advertise due to 5 hour late response on there end.

I'm not saying to stay away from onlinenic.com, I'm simply warning others of my problems.

Does OnlineNic advertise that they will refund .ME within 24hours or is this a registry feature?

I would not trust of any domain deletion that has to be done manually to be done "on time"

Yes. They even said they would via ticket, but just keep saying its been past 24 hours. Which it has been, but my ticket was opened 2 hours before the 24 hours were up.

I'll keep this thread updated and see if they honor there words.

Regardless they are still not a bad company for registering domains. They all seem to have ups and downs.

They are probably unable to deleted it so they are charging you for it. I hope you will be able to get this problem resolve.

Just wanted to keep everyone updated about my refund with OnlineNIC.com (http://www.onlinenic.com)

After a few days have gone by and speaking with some of the lower employed and higher employed staff at onlinenic.com I have finally got this issue taken care of.

One thing they need to correct is there time zone issues. There control panel displays 1 time zone, ticket system displays another.

I have gotten my money refunded. They did notice my ticket was submitted at 22 hours (2 hours before 24 hours were up) but I did not include my domain names in the first ticket. Regardless it was 4+ hours (not quite 5) it took them to respond to my ticket so it was there problem.

They apologized for the delay and everything thats taken place in the last few days. They said there was no excuse for taking 4+ hours to respond to my ticket but they were dealing with large amounts of opened tickets from the .me launch and normal clients requests.

In note, they did ask me if there were ever anything like this again to contact MSN or LiveChat so this issue can be taken care of right away and not past the 24 hour deadline.

I understand all this and everything they said to me. There is no response time guarantee from onlinenic.com and if I were 30 minutes before my 24 hours were up I would understand not refunding my money. But, being 2 hours before or even an hour before.. thats giving plenty of time to respond to a ticket and issue a refund.

With everything said and done, I have to say OnlineNIC.com has changed my mind about there service by honoring this refund.
