After a month of being a host, we decided that we need some more clients. I'm not sure what to do, I would like to heard your dos and don'ts. What worked good for you and what didn't?
I already have some good comments from the other thread I started, but I would like some more.

Unless you want to offer them a load of bull! :D
But in truth - unless you have wads of cash to burn for very little return - advertising is a big waste of time.
The best is word of mouth and that takes time. The moral of the story is to take care of yer customers!

Yeah, but you first need to get some customers who will tell the word...

And why not. Every industry has industry groups where they share their experiences in terms of best practices best policies etc. Of course you would not share you strategies with everyone but sharing general experiences will help this industry gain some credibility in the eyes of the consumer. Just my humble opinion :).
