Hi Folks -

I was wondering... What are people using for tracking hits to there web sites? I am currently using sitemeter.com, with there invisible counter, but I think they are missing some hits due to overload.

I've looked at webtrends, but don't want to spend that kind of money.

What are others doing?

Thanks.

Steve

Something I always suggest is to have a look at www.phpee.com.

Yeah, that is what I'm kind of thinking of. I think I'd like to have something that is completely on my servers, and isn't being serviced by another company...

I use deepmetrix's LiveStats.

http://livestats.deepmetrix.com:8080/0000000002/0400050509/stats?type=report&report=whoson

Its a bit pricey, but sure worth every dollar!

WOW! it's an excellent program, I downloaded it. Very much better than my present log scripts using shtml and flat file.

Hello,

Try http://www.3dstats.com , it's the best. You can track your customers orders and your advertising campaigns performance.

A good tutorial is available here:

Jchristophe,

I visited their site, it seems it's quite similar to www.sitemeter.com where they provide logging service. Unlike the phpee.com program that allows you to install it on your server.

I guess it's a matter of preference, Thanks for adding your recommendation for the benefit of forum members.

Regards.

Yeah, I'm quite impressed, and I mean, I really like Sitemeter, and have been very happy with it for years, but it seems like it's growing fast, and I get reports unavailable alot. I'd rather be able to handle things myself...

Thanks again Lats...
