Hi,

I will keep it sweet and short.

I got reseller plan of $19.95 4 months back. Till today i have'nt got any downtime at all. All my tickets are answered instantly (within few mins.) They offered me good discount for the 1st month in which I only had to pay $5.

I am now hosting alot of accounts and all my clients are happy! Their software's etc are always updated and there's no glitch of any type. It seems they are running a perfect hosting solution.

The tech/billing team is polite and helpful. I never got any type of bad and/or canned replies from them. Always good answeres!

Overall I would recommend mmhosting.com to anyone who is looking for a linux + cpanel based reseller account. (***** stars for you) :agree:

Thanks.

Hi,

Another update. One of my client found out that I was hosting with MMHosting.Com and he contacted them directly.

MMHosting instead of enertaining the client and making him their own customer they redirected all the corropondance to me.

I really really appericiate this. Keep up the good work. Five stars to you!!

Thanks.

I have been using MMHosting since the beginning of the year after my previous host shut down.

The acid test is when things go wrong - which they will - and the response time to a resolution.

The one occasion I had to contact them was directly after signing up. There was glitch with the initial account setup and I phoned them. After hanging up, I went to make a cup of coffee. When I got back, the account was rectified and a mail from support following a few minutes later stating this fact.

I have had no more glitches or any downtime or performance issues.

They also have a lovely no BS ToS (http://mmhosting.com/tos.shtml) that ensures a clean server policy.

Great host!

I will recommend them to anyone (who will not eat up my CPU cycles :D)

I dont get it,

MMHosting give you 2000GB of space, which is hard to even get on a dedicated server, and for $5.95/mo/2 years / $10.99/mo !!!

They give you 20,000GB Bandwidth, which means 20000000MB(per month)/30(days)/24(hours)/60(minutes)/60(seconds) = 7.7MB/S constant up link all month round PER client.

I wonder what would happen if you used up the whole 2TB/20TB!

And they offer this with no downtime or performance issues, and a ping of less than 160MS? How do they do it!!!!!

Well done MM Hosting!!

Its called overselling ;)

But if they provide a good service with it then who is to argue.

Just check their TOS, and you will find explanation for this. They will suspend you instantly much much before you reach that bandwidth usage.

I know its overselling, pretty much every host over sells, unless they charge $10 for 200MB/10GB.

But its astonishing to see people who say MM have good performance, and uptime, with such a blaitent and bad oversell!!

I guesse a nice, simple, tidy website, along with only advertising the 24 month terms at low prices is what makes a host sell.

I cant see how you can get less honest than what MM says they offer!

The real challenge is to do that without needing the whole server for yourself due to CPU or memory or i/o usage. At the end of the day, since you're paying ~$10, you can reasonably expect you'll be sharing the server with some 200 other similar accounts. That's the reality of things, and where expectations should be at.

Often enough, provided that the company is big enough, the actual data transfer usage of one customer will not be of much importance to them.

Hm ... it seems that this company is really good enough to stick to it.

I've been with them for a couple of months now, and have had a good experience overall, but I'm averaging only a ~1Gb/month transfer. No downtime so far.

However, they didn't respond to a service ticket of mine recently. Grumble. They were responsive by phone when I called earlier, though.

How quickly things change. I got an email after close of business that my account has been suspended due to an unnamed script. No details and nobody to talk to. And i'm well under the transfer cap - only 1 gb this month. All I have is static HTML pages and a super simple wordpress blog created with their cpanel.

I'll report back once I get a hold of them. Disappointing.

Hi,

This is to update my review.

The quality of support being provided earlier by MMHosting has De-Graded significantly.

They do not provide any backups at all.

They are closing support tickets without answering, the email confirmation of reply to email does'nt comes (another tactic so customers don't come back and forget the ticket).

Due to them not proving the backup/restore option I am not able to restore client accounts which are terminated due to non-payment. There is a lot of downtime and they don't have any system in place which would tell them that their servers are down. :(

It is sad to see that they are getting worse by the time.

Thanks.

In fairness, they restored my website the next day after talking to them on the phone. They suspected a random hacker attack. Everything has been perfectly fine since. So I'd say I'm happier. Not sure about backups.

Bad performance by mmhosting.com. I just tried to contact them and their support url, their ebilling system is just showing this: License Error: Key file has expired

I tried to generate backups of accounts and backup is not working :( this is really getting bad by the time. Beware everyone.

MMhosting got hacked in early July 2010.

The hacker clobbered the .htaccess files and inserted or overwrote the "index.html" file in every single directory. Judging by the obviousness of the hack, a brute force (try all "root" passwords imaginable) tactic was used by a light weight vandal with nothing else to do.

If my speculation (and that's all it is)is correct MMhosting should have used a more complex password. 20/20 hindsight...

Until then, their uptime for the past two and a half years was excellent and the response times seemed reasonable. Their support was excellent too.

I hope MMhosting will continue under its present management and staffing. The issue is not overselling, the issue is how carefully the host chooses and manages their clients. For example they threw us off when we had a run-away script -- what else could they do to protect their other clients? They explained the problem and even helped us clean up our mess -- Kudos!

We plan to ride out the current mess with them.

That's a pity to read about that.
I knew this company as a reliable one but now ....
