Since I've signed with addr.com, I can truly say that it's been the most horrible experience I've EVER had online
Here's what happened. Someone sent me an email and in this email it said 3 free months if you sign up with addr. This person was a salesperson for them.

Ok, I was not quick to jump on it, for over 2 weeks I keep going back to their site, wondering about them and whether I should sign up or not. What I saw that they offered I really liked..

Finally, i sign up.
I got an instant response via email with my username, password, etc..
I go into addr and log on. Well, let me tell you now that EVERY time I would click anything, it would take forEVER for a page to load and most the time it would redirect me back to the previous screen. Even logging on, it took about 10 minutes to even do that!
So slow it was unbelievable!

Now, I was assured that my site would be transferred by this salesman beforehand. So since I could get nothing to work for me other than email, I email both addr support and this salesperson.
They both ask me for passwords to my other accounts, *not with addr* in order to transfer, and to support@addr.com I send them my private passwords. Guess what I get next?

A stupid email that essentially tells me "it's not our problem, we've checked and it MUST be your ISP"
I couldn't believe it....Then I send emails again and tell them I am livid because I sent passwords, etc and nothing is done that is said would be...
I have heard nothing:bawling::angry:

Strange that you had to give out your password for your other accounts. I would never have done that.

My experience with ADDR has been terrible. Repeated overcharges and when I finally tried to cancel two hosting accounts after one year the process took nearly two months and numerous emails to support. It's nearly impossible to find the necessary form to cancel a account at ADDR which is the only means of communication they'll accept.

reptilian,
I know, yet they told me that it was to transfer my account and then i get that email saying that everything's "working correctly" from THEIR end
And still nothing yet from them, well, what would you all do?
I think I am just prolonging the inevitable, I will cancel! Who is the best host nowadays?

Craig,
What a story!
I wonder to myself, just who owns addr anyway?
Sounds like some kid *under 12* who is hiring out kids & again under 12* in the support staff:angry: Whoare you with now and do you like them?
I need to decide on a host...

Yes, I am trying to order a reseller package so I can move my moms site from ADDR's servers. She gets charged twice every month. Numerous email....nothing. She always has to call her credit card company to dispute the charges. I canceled the account a week ago...let's see if they keep charging. Nothing but bad experiences. They used to have a phone number, but I don't know if they do anymore.
