Hi every one,

our RaQ 4i hard drive fried during a power failure so i have to replace it with a new one I tried everything to restore the hard drive using the cross cable and the restore CD but it seems that i cant do it!

I can get to kernel loading message after choosing the boot from the net on the LCD but that's as far as I can go then nothing happens, loads or changes.

I tried different CDs or Network cards (the one that is required by system) but no luck so far!!? :(

can any one tell me what else might be the reason?

so now i decided to use the Norton ghost to clone the a HD from my other RaQ 4r and use it in RaQ 4i.

is this can be done? if so what is procedure?

any other recommendation is highly appreciated.

Thank you

Maybe the cross cable is too Long. Long cables can be an issue with the raq restore. Use something less then 10ft.

Norton Ghost will work, But you'll want to clone a Drive from a similiar Raq. Not from a 4r and use it on a 4i
