Hey, I know how everyone including me is against adjusting web hosting plans that will affect current users so I was thinking of just adjusting it for future users. Would that be considered fair? I just plan on making some adjustments to the diskspace and bandwidth but leaving the price the same. Current users would still receive the old diskspace and bandwidth but new users will receive the new specs. What do you guys think of this idea? I'm planning on just dropping 5GB or 10GB of Bandwidth on some of the plans and possibly dropping 1GB for the higher plans.

In case you decided to make such adjustements, I think it would be only fair to leave existing customers on older packages, without decreasing their resources. At last, they signed up under agreed conditions and price so practice during years showed it is best to not touch things unless you wish to have some unsatisfied customers :).

Good luck with it!

Yes, it is fair to raise your prices for new clients while holding fast to the terms in place with your existing clients.

That is what I just stated... I would only make these adjustments for the new clients, current clients will receive the same service.

Sounds very fair then. Another point to consider is how you would handle existing clients who wished to purchase a new plan (whether they would have access to the old plans for new purchases, or just access to the new plans).

Well, I would allow the clients to upgrade throughout the old plans as it would only be fair :).
