View Full Version : Why does this always seem to happen to me!

Everytime I go with a host, it starts out really good, very fast support, no problems whatsoever etc etc. both with good packages etc.

However things seem to go downhill so fast!

first with ukname.net it started out great until it took a week for them to answer one of my support requests.

now with nocster.net there's downtime, in the past we've had server loads up to 80! [not us causing the problems either] and they take a long time as it is to answer support requests, some up to 5 days. I've also experienced slow loading times a lot, and bandwidth usage and webalizer stats in the Cpanel haven't updated for 3 weeks!

Is this how it is with hosts? They please you for the first week until they know you're staying and then just leave you out in the cold?!

It's just that so far, with the two hosts i've been with, things have gone wrong, however I do realise that the packages I was offered on both occassions were pretty good, maybe that's the price to pay?

Cheapest is not always the best option. What you should do is run a search for the company/companies you are intending to sign up with, on webhostingtalk & google.

I did that before signing up with these hosts and I couldn't find anything wrong...

The only problem is I host a vBulletin forum which is always quite active [at peak times, around 25+ people online constantly], therefore I require a lot of bandwidth, we also host a lot of graphics, so that's more webspace required, I need around 500MB space and 30-50GB B/W per month, and since there's four of us running it, one who's 19, two 16, and me, 14, it's not so easy to get around the payment, therefore we require the cheapest.

N9ne,

Means that u weren't lucky enough to get a host that could precisely match your desires. Going too cheap plus having rock solid support at the time may be a little difficult to maintain for hosts out there. There are however many reputable hosts that not ony offer excellent support but affordable prices too. 500MB & 30GB Plus 24x7 instant support will cost you money my friend.

I just hope that you find the right host that not only fill ins the specs but gives you the right support attitude you want ;)

I agree that too cheap price may not be able to provide good service.
May be you try to find some average price companies and reputable hosts.
I hope you can find a good host soon.;)

Maybe you should choose a host not soley on price alone but on reputation, network, years in business and reliablity.

You may search for reputable hosting companies that match your price & support ratio but IMHO you will have to pay more for better services...
