Bought these not long ago with the thought of going back into the webhosting business. My current project is taking a little longer than I thought, and not sure I want to keep these. So I'm putting them up for bid, but I do have a reserve price in mind as I spent many hours trying to find a name I liked that fit the image of a non-budget webhosting business. Registered with OpenSRS, and easily transferred for free - almost 11 months left on current registrations.

Guess it's a personal choice. I'd rather something specific easily remembered but long(ish) than something short and meaningless. The only real drawback to a long name that's meaningful is the potential for getting it spelled wrong. Which is why the professionalserver.com and professionalserverS.com were both bought. The intended market (those looking to pay a little more for better service, ie professionals/businesses) are likely to know how to spell both server and professional. The only question was if it was plural and that was taken care of with the 2 names. Take the website listed in your profile, nywebhost.com when I have think of it next month was it nywebhost, or newyorkwebhost? Maybe it was nywebhosting? or newyorkwebhosting? What I'm going to remember is new york and something about webhosting. And why would you want to limit yourself to NY? When I think of NY btw, I think the city - which may or may not be your intent. (And we won't go into my thoughts of the city, suffice it to say I have never met so many rude people in one place in my life, and I hope never to have to go back). With professionalservers.com, I'm hopefully going to remember professional and server. As the intended market segment was decicated and possibly co-located servers and not shared webhosting the term webhost(ing) didn't make sense. The $5/month customer wasn't the target.

So yes it's a little longer than some would like at least it's meaningful.
