Hello WHT,

I've been a web designer since a few years, but I never had to design animated ad banners before, until now. So I started out in Photoshop, and it turned out rather nice. But because of all my tweens and layers, the banner turned out to be over 120kB! Is there any way that these banners can be optimized?

I already lowered the colors to 128, but that only saved like 20kB. How do experienced banner designers do this? There are some amazing banners around sometimes, and they always seem to stay well under 50kB.

Thanks in advance for any assistance. My current banner is here:

You should do it in Flash I guess.

Flash is freaking expensive, is there a cheaper alternative that isn't a 'toy'?

This http://www.erain.com/products/swift3d/ is good for Flash.

By looking at the demo's, isn't that more for 3d modelling?

Oops, wrong software.
I found it, here:

I think half the price of Flash and has pre-made animations.
