View Full Version : Advice Needed for New Reseller

I am in the process of building a webhosting/services website. Basically want to offer Shared, VPN, Managed Servers, Dedicated, Basic Web Design and other misc. services. After reviewing the competition, such as Hostway and Verio, it seems difficult to decide what to offer. My customer focus is for medium and small businesses.

Verio provides an API for their services. The reseller prices on the other hand are outrageous. I just filled out the form for the Hostway reseller and am awaiting their response. Hostway and Verio both have reseller accounts. However, before signing any papers and sending any check, I would like to know the quality of their reseller services. Does anyone have any advice or previous encounters to share? If someone can give me the heads up on what type of discount Hostway gives to reseller's; that would be great.

Thanks,

J. Khan

What sort of budget do you have? Do you have any preference to a control panel?

It looks like the OP wants to resell hosting service of Hostway or similar providers (only do sales, not technical support).
Another option is getting a reseller plan and divide into small hosting packages.
I think more people choose this way to start a hosting business.

Have you checked the reseller offers section? I see very good prices there lately! You also might want to think about billing systems and some services include free whmcs or whatever billing. This would clearly get you moving. :) Not the best best advice but can help.

I would use PremiumReseller..

They offer some great deals and i've been using their services for various projects and they haven't let me down yet!

Good luck! :)
