I want to lease two dedicated servers. 100% fully managed.
In terms of how much I want to spend, lets say I'll pay for the BEST.
Just wondering what guys do you recommend.

Also wondering what are some things to take into considerations when choosing my servers.

For instance ,I want too offer both Linux/Windows.
There are several platforms for Linux like
CentOS4,Redhat. What are the differences, advantages/disadvantages.

Do you want them for normal webhosting (html, php, asp) or for media streaming, what do you want to do with them?

The use that you are going to give to the servers determines the specs that you may need.

For media streaming I would suggest FDC Servers, I have several servers with them that are used for SHOUTcast and they are wonderful!

Dont forget that they must be windows if you want true asp support. Id highly recommend Liquidweb.com. I actually have two servers of theirs that im getting rid of for a good deal, but thats only because Im colocating servers with them now. They are linux though, but fully managed.

Anyway, if your looking for fully managed servers, make sure you do your research. I wouldnt go for anyone that didnt offer 24/7 phone support and make sure you read your reviews carefully. Fully managed at one place is definitely the same as another.

CentOS is basicly a better version of RedHat. You can always order a dedicated server and then hire a company to manage the box for you. It could be cheaper, it depends which company you go too. I do recommend peerlessmachines for managing boxes.
