RDOSTI 07-06-2008, 07:14 AM Never used any of these honestly.
You can add "webmin" to the list though.
activelobby4u 07-06-2008, 07:23 AM zpanel and webmin are good options
huwnet 07-06-2008, 07:26 AM You can also look at ISPConfig
Cyru$ 07-06-2008, 07:31 AM ""zpanel and webmin are good options""

Lsupport 07-06-2008, 08:24 AM Here are the links,
zpanel (http://www.thezpanel.co.uk/index.php?thezpanel=demo)
webmin (http://www.webmin.com/demo.html)
sysadminnick 07-06-2008, 01:25 PM I really depends what you need a control panel for. I tend to not like them in general, but for administering a server if you don't have command line experience then webmin is a good one. If you want to provide a control panel for end users thats a whole different story. I have never user zpanel. I would go with something commercial if you want to give contol panels to end users.
Cyru$ 07-06-2008, 03:22 PM ok i think that better don't use free control panel
teachforjune-Scott 07-06-2008, 03:59 PM You should be able to find a host that offers either a control panel for free or for a small addon per month. Just look around.
PCS-Chris 07-06-2008, 06:03 PM I'd probably go with Webmin. LxAdmin is good too if your VPS provider offers it.

I second that decision
myfirstmonitor 07-06-2008, 11:34 PM I think you should go with cpanel. I think it is the best and easiest panel to work with.
myfirstmonitor 07-06-2008, 11:35 PM woops, didn't see the "free".
In that case, try webmin
activelobby4u 07-07-2008, 12:07 AM woops, didn't see the "free".

He has changed his mind i guess ;)
~ServerPoint~ 07-07-2008, 08:35 AM If you're planning to pay for control panel, I would recommend cpanel as it is more user friendly.
If you're looking for a free panel and if you have less than 40 domains, I would recommend lxadmin.
rasputin 07-07-2008, 11:53 AM Webmin is pretty good.. That and directadmin which I believe are both still free!
teachforjune-Scott 07-07-2008, 12:00 PM DirectAdmin is not free, but pretty cheap and a great panel!

In that case, try webmin
I would second that!
