Hello ppl,

I am looking for a reseller host offering 3-5 GB of web space and bandwidth of around 10-12 GB with an average budget. I do not want to buy a cheap one nor expensive one anythg in between would do. Moreover I am interested in .NET/SQLServer host with/without AJAX.

I am a bit new to Reseller accounts, will I be able to control the resource limit for my clients? As in I would like to restrict them to one domain, say 5 to 10 emails ID's, only one FTP account etc. In fact, my clients just want to see the amount of space used & available and I am sure they would be able to see that in their own control panel.

Please let me know your views and suggestions. I am sure, many other people might have also asked same kinda question before, I have gone through few of those but wanted to know your suggestions/views for my specific requirements.

Thank you all for your support.

Hello

your requirements are quote easy which is good.

How many domains do you wish to host on your reseller account?

Yes. You will be having total control over your customer's resource limits and you will be able to create custom plans with defined limits of email addresses, ftp accounts, etc. Additionally, each of your customer will have his/her own control panel which can be used by them to manage their hosting themselves.

Your requirements seems to be quite reasonable. You can have a look at the Reseller Hosting offers section Here (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=130) to get the latest deals from various web hosts. Also, you can use the 'search' feature on top right corner of this page to get some reviews of your selected host as well.

Good luck!

It really depends on your budget? You say it is average but average has a different meaning for everybody. For Windows hosting it is reasonable to have at least $20 / month in mind for a small reseller account.

Well, I wouldn't be able to say the specific number of Domains I would add but will be around 5-8 as for now.

Thank you. Really appreciated!! I will surely have a look at those offers.

Yeah, that's true.

I still didn't find a host which suits my requirements and budget. The Beginner plan on OurInternet.us seemed okay but I just found out, there's extra 4$/month for personalised NameServers. Would like to know which reseller host you people like?(irrespective of my requirements).

Thank you all for your replies.

Private labeled nameservers should be free with all the reseller hosting packs.

Self advertisement is not allowed in these forums :)

Premiumreseller.com looks good to me. Win2 plan(or even Win1) would fit in my requirements.

I would like to know few things as I am new with Reseller accounts:

1. Do I need a special customized script to be able to let new clients Order for Hosting/Domain from my website?

I will give an example for better understanding. Suppose my main website is xyz.com and if a new client comes to xyz.com, he should be able to order for hosting/domain from there. Do I get a script/software with reseller account which allows new clients to order from xyz.com? I hope I am clear. I am talking about those ORDER NOW buttons.

2. Suppose I have 5 GB space on my reseller account and 8 clients. Is it like I will be allowed to assign 1 Gb to each client ONLY IF Oversell is enabled irrespective of the CP I use OR it depends on the Control panel I get to use from my Reseller host to be able to oversell?

Thanks in advance.

Hey,

Instead of supporting only windows why dont you try both Win & Lin when you have good technical team standing by .. Have a look at this hosting..

You can either use a third party billing software (like WHMCS) which will auto create the accounts on the server and accept the payment for hosting/domain registration. I am not sure about your prospective host but Helm control panel does provide such a script and functionality to receive the order from your website and auto create the hosting account on the server. We use the same at the moment.

I would say, it would be control panel's functionality whether overselling is enabled or not. For eg. Helm does support overselling whereas DNP does not.

Thanks,

uhmm Like I said in one of the above posts, OurInternet.us looked good to me with respect to my needs and budget but they are charging extra 4$/month for Personalised NameServers, which is usually included in the hosting Fee of other reseller hosts.

Thank for the info. I have checked both WHMCS and Helm, the latter looks good to me. WHMCS seems more for the resellers having large number of clients.

I have few things to ask regarding this:

1. Do I need to buy SSL for using this software as it SHOULD be using SSL for payment?(otherwise that would be insecure).

2. Where will the payment money go? lol I mean do I need to provide my Company's bank account number to the Billing software or there are other ways using the third party services?

BTW I always do my bit of searching for the answer before I ask here, when I don't get a proper clear answer then I post here. Thought of mentioning because sounds like I am asking much.

That implies wherever I am going to get Helm Control panel from reseller host indirectly means I would be able to resell. Right?

Appreciate your replies!!

It is always advisable to use SSL when you are collecting customer's information and payment/banking details.

You will need to sign up for some of the payment gateways/payment processors like Paypal/2Checkout who will accept web payments. You will then be able to receive these payments in your bank account.

I believe, you are talking about Master Reseller (able to create and sell reseller accounts under your own reseller)? If this is the case, Helm does not allow to create resellers under a reseller. You will only be able to create sub users under your reseller account with helm control panel.

Thanks,

- Rick

Hello

Master Reseller can be done on Helm version 4.
Also DotNetPanel also offers Master Reseller.

Newbie,

Helm allows you to oversell.

You're right.
Reseller quota in Helm is based on actual usage, not what you allocate for each hosting package.
