Try Hostgator.

If it's $300 a month you can get a super server. If it's $300 a year then you can get a cheap priced VPS although it'll be hard to find one that offers 50GB of space and isn't an overseller.

For $40/month you can probably get a budget dedicated server. You can definitely get 50GB diskspace at least but you will get a pretty crappy CPU such as a older model Celeron.

A reseller account is more suited for you, I am guessing you do not have any experience with managing a server so it is best that you try a reseller account from a few of the premium webhosting providers.

Getting a dedicated server just because the budget suits may not be a wise decision since it comes with a lot of responsibilities (management & security namely).

With the budget you provide you should go for a VPS. It is far more better than a reseller account.

I, too, would go with a managed vps. Make sure it's managed. You'll get more bank for your buck! You'll get better processors, more ram than an entry level dedicated and if it's fully managed, you can leave most of the headaches to your host.

I would recommend innohostings vps plans. They come with whmcs and they can also offer support for your end-users for an additional fee (comes free with reseller account, but addon for vps).

They come very highly recommended.

If you are just starting, I will recommend you to go for a reseller account for some experience of the actual industry. Eventually you can transfer all your accounts to the VPS you take as mentioned above.

try out resellerclub.com.. they are known for their domain registrations and i have recently started reselling hosting from them..

you need not do much to their hosting packages.. they offer 4 ready made packages with the basic hosting requirements... you can have a look on their websites.. they are good for starters atleast.. unless you are already buying a dedicated solution, i would suggest this one since they do not require much technical knowledge..

If you are going for a dedicated server, it should be a managed one as you are a beginner.

Yes, Matt's correct. Whatever you do, don't get a self-managed dedicated server. If you had to choose between a dedicated server and a reseller plan, I'd say start out with a reseller plan first, then upgrade to a managed dedicated server if you need to.

Best of luck!

Yup start out with a VPS. You might want to check out KnownHost and WiredTree. As you grow move over to a dedicated server.

All the best,
