I offer web design services to clients and I want to get a reseller account so it can be easier for me to manage my clients sites. I don't have any kind of idea of what size/bandwidth orther than I want Linux/CPanel..I'm looking for just looking for somethin I can start out with and add onto later if possible.

I'm also looking for a way so they are automatically billed monthly. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Are you looking for the host to bill for you? Or are you looking for a billing package?

Billing software:
whmcs.com <- we use this; it's good
ubersmith.com <- use this too; good too, more $
modernbill.com <- didn't work for us

to tell u the truth I'm not sure what any of that is..is there anything that comes with hosting packages or is it something I have to set up myself?

edit: ah ic now.. looked at the whmcs.com solution and it seems nice. Is this automated billing or do I have to send it out myself every month?

WHMCS does automated billing if you (for example) use the authorize.net module; there's many other payment gateways though.

Note, the 4 links above only relate to billing software. I'm sure there's also providers that offer billing software with the reseller account, but I don't know of any that also do the billing for you; you generally need your own merchant account or use paypal.

clientexec.com is another billing package.

I would highly recommend innohosting. Their setup includes whmcs/client exec license, domain reseller accout/end-user support, etc. Pretty much everything you need to get started and their support is fantastic and will help you with practically anything you need or questions you have!

I can't recommend Rameen and Chris enough.

Innohosting indeed have some fans in this forum.

"automatically billed monthly" is quite complicated because you need to get an internet merchant account if you don't want to use third party service like Paypal or 2CO.

Unless you do a lot of volume though, google checkout or paypal are your best bet.

Hi

I would also recommend WHMCS for a billing system, we also use this and is outstanding.

I would highly suggest going with a host that provides hsphere clustered service. Search the forums there are many good hsphere providers out there.

Why are you suggesting hsphere when the op wants cpanel?

Is there an advantage to hsphere that would specifically appeal to the op?

If so, do tell!

In other words, we want to know why you think hsphere is a better option for the op when he said he prefers cpanel.

HSphere has many great advantages. The main advantage is that it is a clustered environment and all your services are not all relying on one cpu and memory set. Also it is multi-platformand has an intergrated billingbilling system. You can read more here http://www.psoft.net/promo/

Hello

I am sure you are right saying HSphere is good but the OP clearly stated he wants CPanel.

I am new to reseller accounts but I did check WHMCS and it looks very organised and made for handling large volume of Clients.

I can recommend HTTPme as a good reseller hosting provider, I have been with them for 4 years and have no complaints. I have my own merchant account which does recurring monthly billing so I can't help you with that part
Good luck with your search!
