I would like to find a host that could handle 2 or 3 domains but without bells and whistles... everything with shared hosting is $25 a month and up! All 3 sites are under 1mb (not likely to go over 3 mb), written in good old HTML; I would prefer a File Manager but FTP is OK too. Must be US based and have a reasonable uptime guarantee. I would appreciate any advise... thank you!

I believe your requirements are quite reasonable. You can have a look at the Shared Hosting Offers section Here (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=4) and then search for the review of the hosts that you shortlist.

Good luck!

Take a look at Hawk Host. They have great service and could easily host your sites.

Awesome! I found some others on my own and a referral from a friend (Divine intervention as she called right as I was about to give up for today!)... thank you both for your immense help!

You mean you want to pay $25+ a month for a shared hosting account to host 2-3 domains?
Most shared hosting plans cost around $10/month.
You don't need windows hosting if you don't use asp/asp.net

Wow, 25 a month seems like a lot for shared hosting, unless you are on some sort of semi-dedicated hosting package.

Cheers.

Not actually. You should be prepared to pay if you want quality. Quality does not come at cheap rates!

Also, there are lot of licensing costs involved in Windows hosting which makes it costlier than Linux.

Very good points Rick! These things people forget with windows hosting!

Am glad to see someone point this out. :agree:

Hi dalb962,
You should be able to host 2-3 domains on one hosting package. This can be done by using DNS management and domain forwarding to sub-domains within the one package. That should save you some cost, especially if all three domains are under 1mb.

All the best.
