Hey Everyone,

I've been trying to setup a host record with NSI, but I've run into some problems. First off, I have setup a contact record with NSI, which can be seen here (http://www.networksolutions.com/cgi-bin/whois/whois?!HO10990-OR&id=0). Now when I submit a host record form, I receive the following email:

We have received your request to register or modify a host record.
However, we are unable to process it at this time because we cannot
verify its authenticity.

We have sent an e-mail notification message to Guardians for this
host and the domain name where the host resides, asking for their
approval or disapproval of the change you have asked for. We will
follow the first set of instructions we receive.

What does this mean? The domain hostspin.com is registered with OpenSRS, so does that have anything to do with this problem? Thanks...

If you are attempting to create a host name with a domain registered through an OpenSRS registrar, I suggest you create the record at your registrar, not at NetSol.

It is less complicated to do there. It should be the last link once you log into your domain. 'Create a host record based on this domain' - or something to that extent.

Try this ....

Go to openSRS.com
Go to Manage your Domain
Login with proper information
Go to Manage Name Servers
Go to bottom of screen
Go to "If you want to create or modify a nameserver which is based on yourdomainname.com"

Hopefully this is what you are looking for and resolves your issue.

with the following error message

i tried it thru netsol multiple/numerous/tons of times
all failed...

i think the reason is because my domain wasn't registered with them... it was registered with registerfly

but registerfly charges $9.99 per nameserver (host record) creation... (unbelievably since even NetSol doesn't charge for that)

i've emailed eNom about it and they said they could create nameservers for my domain as long as the domain has been registered with them (registerfly is eNom's reseller i think)... and also required that I go into the domain manager and check off the "Registrar Lock" option which doesn't show up in registerfly's domain manager

im awaiting my 60th from which i've registered my domain... then ill probably switch to either stargateinc.com or 000domains.com
