View Full Version : Need reseller?
gazzamc 07-02-2008, 02:50 AM Hey everyone,
I'm looking for a good reseller with a lot of disk space and monthly transfer with ffmpeg, Mencoder enabled.
and that allows youtube clones and maybe warez if but thats not important just the streaming video scripts.
cpanel and WHM, fantasico.
this may be too much for my budget lol
My budget is kinda low around 30-50 dollars a month. Less is better if for me.
Thanks.
hosteur 07-02-2008, 03:11 AM Lots but how much space & BW do you require?
gazzamc 07-02-2008, 03:15 AM idk as much as possible.
CyberHostPro 07-02-2008, 03:28 AM Gazzamc,
Why do you need as much as possible? you have to remember Servers are similar to PCs and space has to be shared.
for $30-$50 month, your likely to get between 10GB - 30GB depending on the hosting company.
Some companies out there such as www.hostgator.com who are known to provide 24GB for $25 a month is clearly over selling!
When choosing a host be careful to read fully their T&C before signing up.
Do you require your reseller to have their servers in the same country as you?
if so what country would you like your reseller hosting servers to be located?
Finally have you looked in the resellers hosting offers section at http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=130

Well the reason i want a good bit of Disk space and bandwidth is to hold a couple of video sites.really i want to get the most space possible from my budget, and as soon as my hosting company gets bigger i'll increase the budget.
and i wouldn't care what country their as long as they allow adult, i had a look but, a quick one.
I would go to hostgator but they don't have ffmpeg [not that i know of]
well can someone help me out?

It's ok i've found a reseller.Yea i wanted to host videos,If i could host warez it would be good but i've found a reseller that allows vidoes, so i'm prepared to drop the warez.

ldcdc 07-02-2008, 10:00 AM Some companies out there such as www.hostgator.com who are known to provide 24GB for $25 a month is clearly over selling!Certainly, but they don't allow resellers to oversell, which in the end balances things out, if we do an "overselling" comparison with other hosts. ;)
iHubNet-Matt 07-02-2008, 11:38 AM With this budget make sure you get adequate BW for your account we the streaming requires more BW.
Sponsi 07-02-2008, 04:29 PM I was testing ostube script some time ago and I took geekstorage.com - which in a small account (not even a reseller) had ffmpeg, mplayer, mencoder... it was quite OK but I guess I just had bad luck that they had a major disaster at their DC or something.. then they announced better times but my 1-month period finished : ) you can try them, 8 bucks or something is the smallest account
In the long run, at least a VPS would be advisable.. so an administrator or managed service will be appreciated, I guess (unless you have the skills :)
