I will like to see a forum for virtual private server to discuss the technology of VPS and an advertising forum just for advertising virtual private servers solutions just like we do for dedicated servers.

What does everyone think?

I think you heavily overused the word 'virtual private servers'.

I think I removed the pricing information from your signature per the guidelinos de forumito, and that there won't be a VPS forum anytime soon, however maybe we'll just expand the dedicated forum to include these little guys.

I don't think there is a need for a dedicated forum on VPS/VDS yet. There are still very little discussion (relatively speaking), and we should keep the number of forums as low as possible.

Good point but maybe this will generate more of a discussion. Hosts like myself that offer this may spike up some interests here if others join in the discuss. The volume may be low because the expore is very low. Just a thought.

Well, you certainly have a point there. However, the more forums, the more confusing it is for other people (especially the newbies and people with simple minds such as myself).

I don't think the exposure is too low. Certainly adding a forum will help a bit, but not enough (at this moment) to justify adding to the number of forum.

We can't just add more forums to bring up discussion. Instead of artificially attempting to generate interest, we should wait until there is real interest to setup a forum for it.

Well at least we should modify existing ones to include this. for example change dedicated servers to include VPS. How about that idea? Really it wouldn't matter to me either way but it won't hurt either.

VPS is not big a player to get a dedicated forum. It can go in dedicated servers forum.

I agree, no seperate forum, but some mention of it would be nice. It really is a great service(depending on how its run) and more reconition would be nice. I think that people in general do not know enough about it or even know about it, so mabey adding something on the dedicated server description might help get it some more publicity.
