Hi,

As we plan to offer windows server 2003/2008 on our VPS line, it seems that Microsoft isn't interested in 2003 anymore.

I've requested information about SPLA, and they seem to offer 2008 licensing for new contracts. Is there any possibility, we can get Windows 2003 licensing from any(other?) source for our VPS?

Also, I am aware of the SPLA pricing, but I've seen offers for windows PS for less than $20/m. Is there any specific VPS licensing for the Windows? I don't want to contact them again as they don't seem to offer what we expect from them.:)

WHT is a faster way to have a response than a Microsoft representative. Also, I'm not sure but I heard somewhere around a year ago that we can sign up through a partner as well.

I think you just need to buy one license and you can use it for n number of VPS created in the Server.

send an email to sales@qualispace.com they are microsoft SPLA Partner.

So, we need to have Windows on the host server?
or a license key works for all the VPS's on a particular host server?

it depends on the type of Application you use for virtuallization.

if you are ussing

VMware : you need seprate License Key for each VPS

Virtuazzo: just you need to install App on Main Server and from that it creates VPS and does not need Seprate License.
