How do you hosts go around setting up FrontPage extension to customers who want it when you've already create packages without it? Or do you create packages without FrontPage Extension and have your customers go to their CP and install it from there?

Another thing. When one gets a CPanel/WHM dedicated server for the first time, does it come with FrontPage installed already or does it have to be manually installed via WHM?

Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't install FrontPage (create a virtual root web for a site) unless you are going to use FrontPage, as it leaves a lot of mess in your webpace that you would otherwise not use.

If you do use it, you should install it in the webspace before you publish, else you won't be able to publish with FrontPage's HTTP method.

However, if you have already published your site, FrontPage can still be added to a site, it will create meta files for the pages and index it.

So, we don't install FrontPage for users until/unless they request it. Although they won't have to request it, they can do it themselves in our control panel.

Never use Frontpage extensions unless you only plan to Use ftontpage.

If you plan to use PHP and other server languages don't touch FT extensions. They will cause errors and you will not be even able to tell where the hell they come from.

Use either a freeware Editor Or for the best use Dreamweaver MX.
