I'm looking for someone to install osCommerce on my server since I am fairly new to ecommerce and don't know much about PHP and SSL certificates. I will be purchasing an SSL certificate and web hosting next week, that is when the installation should take place. I don't have much money to offer from my start up business, but perhaps I could interest someone in advertising or free hosting in return? Thanks.

I looked into Fantastico and tried their Demo, the setup and installation couldn't be easier, but it left me wondering about the SSL configuration necessary for the checkout.

If you want to accept payments securely, then an SSL cert is needed. I don't know whether or not you have your own server or not, but if you are a reseller, most hosts will let you use their shared SSL cert.
