Getting rather confused with the structure ... hope someone can shed some light ...

I'm having a Cypher plan with matrixreseller which comes with 15 billable accounts ..

I did a search on my accounts ... it came up with ...
A/C 1: adminstrative account
A/C 2: service domain (setup to host my paying client's domains)
A/C 3: another plan I created to host all my own domains
Am I right to say that I have used up 3 accounts?

What I want to do now is to host a new domain. I do not need billing functions or control panel (since I own this domain), but I would like to give this domain it's own FTP access. What should I do?
1. Login into A/C 3 and "Add Account"? OR
2. Login into A/C 3 and "Add Domain"? OR
3. Login into A/C 3 and "Add DNS Zone"? OR???

Will really appreciate if anyone can help. Thanks-a-million!

Yes, you have used 3 accounts, but that doesn't mean your host counts the Admin or Service accounts as billable. Some do, some don't.

What I want to do now is to host a new domain. I do not need billing functions or control panel (since I own this domain), but I would like to give this domain it's own FTP access. What should I do?

# 2 is what you need to do, then in the FTP Manager, create an FTP sub-account for the domain. You will set a user and password and can choose the top directory they can access (which would be domain.com in this case).

An account in HSphere is a CP access. You can put a lot of domains in one account, but they share the CP. They can however, have differing FTP sub accounts.

Hi David,

thanks for the help ...

now. I have added the domain and I can see it listed when I go to the FTP/User Account page, but I can't seem to find any link to add the sub FTP user account you mentioned?

When you click on the FTP/User Account menu item, it will be on the page that comes up. If it isn't there, then your host probably has not included FTP-subaccounts in your plan. You may want to ask them to add that.
