I'm a new member on WHT and i appreciate it a lot.

I want to ask you some questions witch I'll be happy if i get the responses xD

I have a dedicated server with softlayer.com with this configuration :

Single Processor Dual Core Xeon 3060 - 2.40GHz (Core2Duo) - 1 x 4MB cache

Ram: 4 GB DDR2 667

Uplink Port Speeds: 1000 Mbps Public & Private Networks

Public Network Port: 1000 Mbps public uplink

Private Network Port: 1000 Mbps private uplink

Public Bandwidth: 2000 GB Bandwidth

Primary IP Addresses: 1 IP Address

Secondary IP Addresses: 4 IP Addresses

Disk Controller: SATA Disk Controller

First Hard Drive: 250GB SATA II

Second Hard Drive: 250GB SATA II

Lockbox: 1 GB Lockbox

Operating System: CentOS 5 (32 bit)

Control Panel Software: Plesk 8 (Latest) - Linux - 30 Domain w/ Power Pack

Monitoring: Host Ping

Intrusion Detection & Protection: Network IDS/IPS Protection

Hardware & Software Firewalls: APF Software Firewall for Linux

VPN Management - Private Network: Unlimited SSL VPN Users & 1 PPTP VPN User per account

can I host in the same time my websites and build a counter strike 1.6 server in the same dedicated server?

If yes how can I do it?

and is my configuration able to turn it? with how much slot connected simultaneously?

PS : my web site's bandwidth is about 500 GO / month

i know that my question is probably stupid but I'm a beginner in this domain.

Thank you in advance for your responses and advices :D

Yeah I'd say its possible depending on how much load you're getting from your websites atm. Its been years since I ran a CS 1.6 server but I can't imagine the CPU resources have changed too much. If you have little traffic then a full 32 slot CS server will be perfectly reasonable. I am aware that plesk has an addon that supports the handling of gameservers, you could buy that or do it via command line.

It sounds like you have root access so yes, you should be able to install/run the game server from the command line shell.
