cPanel is the best in terms of features and it is also most easier to use then any other control panel available now adays.

DirectAdmin is a very easy to use control panel. Have you tried its demo?

I find cpanel the easiest to use.

Prefer Cpanel as well. Easily beat the competition.

Since from start we have been using cPanel on Linux server so its the easiest for us.

Had a chance to work on Plesk few times and found it to be most horrible out there.

Just yesterday started testing LXAdmin, seems to be quite good, navigation is not as straight forward as cPanel, but still quite organised.

cpanel is the way to go. Been using it for over 6 years and it gets better and better. If is fairly easy to configured compared to plesk.

DA is way better then cpanel and plesk, plesk is a big mess IMO, slow page loads and nothing good at all.
DA rocks.

LxAdmin isnt bad, but I wouldnt reccomend it for clients on a Dedicated Servers. Its fine on a VPS or small box, but I wouldnt personally feel confident relying on LxLabs pretty much non-existant support these days.

Tried them all and i'll easily say cPanel is the easiest to jump in, you'll get less queries from your customers about simple tasks aswell. Plesk is nasty and i find LxAdmin too messy in terms of the way their navigation is laid out. The only control panel that comes close to cPanel is DirectAdmin which i find lacks a few features when compairing to cPanel.

Then again, at the end of the day its all about what you get used to and what you find the best, so try them all out and make an informed decision.

I think you should look into DA and HC7 panel as noth have less pricing than CPanel .Also, HC7 panel which supports both Windows and Linux hosting management through single interface and is easy to install and configure. They have also FREE support feature too.

DA is a much better panel than cPanel. The problems in cPanel that existed 7 years ago still exist in lots of instances and instead of making a good product they have bloated it to the point it takes up more server resources than it was worth. Then add the price on top of that you have a really overrated product that is still as insecure today as it was in 2000. Plesk, Hsphere and DA are much better choices.

Unless something has changed very recently they don't (I don't know of any of the other major panels that do to be honest). DirectAdmin does have a very nice API that you can plug into via an external billing system though.

I don't like Plesk really but I think direct admin would be a better choice than cPanel if they offered more features. I highly recommend cPanel at the moment.

Nothing in direct admin is automated....as far as i know you don't have a scripts to automatically do things that need attention on the server and you can't do apache updates in direct admin. Security isn't as easy due to the fact that cPanel makes it easy.

I don't have my DA machine anymore but there is indeed scripts there. In addition there's the Custom Build for setting up PHP / Apache / Etc... the way you want.

One year back, my server provided me free DirectAdmin but I found very hard to use it. I found cPanel more user friendly and DirectAdmin.

Cpanel is the best control panel I've ever used - it's both flexible and easy to operate. Plesk for instance is also easy to operate but it hasn't the flexibility that cpanel has.

For instance cpanel has a lot of useful scripts in the /scripts directory which can be used if something got broke - Plesk doesn't have such features from what I know.

I have used three control panels DA, Plesk and cPanel and I found that no one is closer to cPanel in terms of any thing.

Even for resellers , cPanel comes with WHM which is the best for resellers.

In how many years exactly do you think it's going to be ready? It's been 5 years we are working on our panel, and it's only going to reach Debian stable this year. I believe that you are aware of the fact writing a panel is not at all a small task, right?

The problem with writing your own panel is unfamiliarity amongst your customers, You could lose sales over it unless it has some real wow factor.

DirectAdmin has been wonderful for us and as for automated tasks on the administration side, I prefer having utilities available to me such as CustomBuild, so I have more control over what gets installed and how they're configured.

Cpanel and DirectAdmin, both are faily easy to use and pretty fast too.

I agree, Plesk is a bit slower but its good as well. However i prefer cPanel.
