Hello guys. At Dynadot (http://www.dynadot.com/company/prices.html) I saw that .ws doesn't allow domains transfer.

So how is that? Once we register a domain on a registrar, we are bound to that registrar, and the only way to move is waiting the domain to expire, hope that nobody else grab/backorder it, and register on another registrar?

I think exceptionally .ws is not allowed to transfer. I have the same problem with Godaddy in the past.

And how you solved it?

Can't solved, I still stay with the registrar, there is no other choice.

that happened with me too & i think that some registrars (if there isn't another serious matter) make this & will make this to some extentions to make the domains with them for ever & to snap them for them exclusively if you decide to leave it to expire,
but for .ws i think this for the future purposes.

The .WS registry have claimed that they're working on transfers; we've been told that it will be available "soon" several times, but it hasn't yet materialized. I expect that at some point in the not too distant future they will support transfers.

hehe working on transfers, that's so hard to implement that all other TLDs have it for ages :) :o

As a registrar, Domainitor probably knows what he's talking about. I know that originally, .ws was not transferable at all. But it was my understanding that they were now allowing transfers and it was up to the respective registrars to support it. For example, I thought that GoDaddy had announced that they were now supporting .ws transfers. Maybe both registrars have to support the transfer.

My irony was not for dominator, was for .ws authority that locks us on a registrar.

If our registrar decides to raise .ws price to $80 we can't do anything against it.

hope that the renewal prices be the same or lower till transfer

That's why you should choose your .ws registrar wisely.
