Please tell me im on the right track or even better explain where i went wrong... (Im a expert with windows but with linux im newbie-mid and this is my first dedicated server)

When i get my dedicated server with redhat 7.3

1. Set up domain name servers
2. I go to apache, mysql, ssh sites and get lastest updates. (read some docs on how to upgrade on specific)
3. chmod dirs
4. Install Cpanel and config it
5. Run a few cgi and php scripts to see if everything is working
6. Go and have something to eat

am I on the right track?
