I'm sorry, I am lost here... Your advertisement says 100 mbps for $104.99/month so how can 50 mbps be $500??
Gulzy 06-09-2008, 08:12 AM Also the link you have provided doesnt mention any server selection?
Calinax 06-09-2008, 09:00 AM I'm sorry, I am lost here... Your advertisement says 100 mbps for $104.99/month so how can 50 mbps be $500??
The 100 mbps in above offer is 100 mbit unmetered "shared" bandwidth pool i.e. your server is connected through 100 mbps Full Duplex port, and we do not monitor bandwidth usage on these servers/packages(There will be few more servers connected to such bandwidth pool). There is o guarantee you will have the bandwidth available all time. There are no overages as bandwidth is not monitored.
The 50 mbps quote I provided you is Dedicated. You can burst it to 50 mbit, any time of the day. Your server is capped at 50 mbps, so there are no overages.
Calinax 06-09-2008, 09:01 AM Also the link you have provided doesnt mention any server selection?
The link I have provided to you is direct link to order the server. You will have the follow the links directly through the post if you would like to order a particular server.
These packages are no on our website, therefore these packages can only be ordered through direct links.
Calinax 06-09-2008, 09:04 AM does the 100mbit unmetered give the same amount of outbound, or more?
We do not monitor bandwidth usage on unmetered plans. You can expect around 5 TB outbound each month.
Gulzy 06-09-2008, 10:18 AM Ok it's me again.. & Apologising for my noobish questions but since I am not that technical at all and not that familiar with unmetered servers as you guys are so thats why here is yet another noobish question:
Suppose I go for this server:
Dual Core Pentium D 820
250 GB SATA HD
2 GB RAM
100 mbps unmetered - $104.99/month
I understand that this is shared now but suppose we are talking in terms of upload and download one usually sees while using ftp then what would my minimum download and upload be?
For example, I had this old server (not unmetered) and my colleague allways used to get his max ul/dl out of it which was 20 mb/s. Would he still be able to do it with the above mentioned server?
Or would 10 mbps unmetered do the job as well or neither one at all?
Cool Surfer 06-09-2008, 02:07 PM Are the servers still available. signup links are not working.
Cool Surfer 06-09-2008, 03:00 PM I tried signing up, but the link is not working.

eugeniopacheco 06-10-2008, 07:39 AM Hi,
I have the following questions:
1. How does your ddos protection work? Does it protect both bandwidth related attacks and service related attacks?
2. Where are the servers hosted? Which DC I mean, is it your own or you guys rent space on another DC?
3. How much for extra ips?
4. Do you offer cPanel for VPS?
Thanks in advance,

If you order the metered/capped bandwidth(2000 GB), you can easily burst the line at 100 mbps whenever it allows. There is less congestion on such package, and so you get better transfer speeds.
With the 10 mb/s option, you can burst to 10 mb/s. There may be some slowdown during peak hours though.
On an average, 100 mbit/s unmetered servers transfer at 18-30 mb/s.
If you're looking for better transfer speed, I would suggest the metered bandwidth option, if the bandwidth usage is within 2000 GB(1000 GB in + 1000 GB out).
We all have questions. You need not apologize when you're getting something for which you're paying.
Its always better to clear up all your questions/doubts then to be sorry at later stage. We've had some similar incidents as well.
Calinax 06-10-2008, 11:49 AM test ip please
Try 64.191.117.2
