hello friends

i am a freelance web designer. I am hosted with servage.net. they have their own control panel. i have hosted my clients website as add on domains. But now they are asking a control panel and i must find a host which provide me reseller account with cpanel and whm.

For now I am thinking about hostgator. but their price is high.. My budget for now is $15 per month. 10gb or 100gb will be enough. more is always better :)

Please suggest me your best choice :)

The best thing you can is to send some pre sales questions to a few hosts that can help you get a feel for them, as people's opinions will vary and what may be a good host for one person may be a bad host for you.

For the first few reseller packs it may be yearly but for the most others its monthly. In any case there are tons of highly competitive firms out there that can serve your particular needs especially Brent's alligator is looking out for devouring any one on the way but our stinging bee might be the catch. :D

I haven't used ResellerZoom, Hostgator or JagPC in a very long time but when I was with them they were fine for me (no major issues). I can't speak about their current offerings (ex: I was with RZ prior to their failover plans).

Of those listed I have the most experience with Innohosting. I was with them about 9-10 months before I moved to VPS (this was b4 they offered VPS).

Support was excellent, with questions answered completely and quickly. More importantly they maintained this level of support after hours. They really go out of the way to help you not just feed you canned answers.

Servers/Services were also excellent, I don't recall any significant issues and I consider them a great value.

Resellerzoom used to be very good and quick tech resp. - was there for 3 years, but not so much lately. It's been 3 days since they've suspended one of my accounts with no real explanation, no access to the control panel to look at the logs if I want to make up my own explanation. So I'm handcuffed, and I never really thought about how things could go wrong w/a reseller, but this is one way. Locked out, locked up, with no way to even transfer the offending account off if I can't get to it. They've been fairly slow to respond to questions and come back with REALLY nebulous answers. I'm well acquainted with the site in question, so I know it's not really a script intensive site as far as know, and nothing infrastructurewise has changed with the site for several years, so not sure. If this helps you make a decision, great.

Hi all,

I have been using heartinternet.co.uk for the past year now. They have been very good to resolve any minor issues Ive had and the servers are reliable. There servers can sometimes be a little slow, but generally very good.

All the best,

Kimptonet

Hi anon-e-mouse,

Whilst I'm a little confused as to why its relevant and given that i said I had only been using then for the "past year" I dont get your phrase, "all that time" Are you mocking me, or them?

In case I have the wrong end of the stick and you are really interested, I have been hosting the following there;

http://www.kimptoncomputers.co.uk
http://www.kimptonet.co.uk
http://www.securicomsystems.co.uk
http://www.jasmine-flower.co.uk
http://www.yourhealthandmind.co.uk

I have not used any other reseller hosting other than http://www.heartinternet.co.uk but can honestly say that I am pleased with their services.

All the best,

Kimptonet

Hi I am a new poster but have lurked these boards for some time. If you are looking for good prices and outstanding service you just cannot go past Knownhost.
I have one of their reseller accounts and I just love them. A friend from Anandtech forums put me onto them and I haven't looked back.
They transfered all my accounts over in double quick time on a simple support ticket.
I just wish there was someone in Australia offering the same service and price.
Good luck with whoever you choose but you won't be disappointed if you go with KH.

I have reseller accounts with resellerzoom and hostforweb. I added hostforweb because of poor support at resllerzoom. Simple questions were misinterpreted and instead of moving from their offshore support to a higher level they kept emailing the same response and asking for login info repeatedly instead of looking for it in the email thread. I moved most accounts to hostforweb last year because of this but kept some ecommerce mySQL sites at resellerzoom to avoid business interruptions.

Hostforweb's support has been flawless so far - fast and efficient in correcting issues. There were some email issues for a client's account at hfw but these were cleaned up by support in a few days after they received the info needed.

For my money, hfw would be a first choice even tho resellerzoom has improved.

Tried resellerzoom in the past... terrible service.

Innohosting, wirenine, axishost, dotable, surpasshosting...tried them all in the past and some even now. Good service. I had an account with JaguarPC...don't recall for what though. I think it was a low-end VPS a long time ago and I was happy with their attentiveness (but don't recall actually requesting any tech support), only sales and billing questions.

JaguarPC Hosting has excellent support and has answer my questions anytime I had one. Their support is high excellence. They have support our reseller business and intergrate our clientexec license into our webhosting business. All in all I give them a High 5 on customer service, technical support. The worse part is the provisioning part of the sales order due to fraud measures.

Sincerely,

The list is a joke.
I would NEVER trust our clients' websites with a cheap hosting company.
You take a million dollar industry as your customer and put them in Hostgator or any other cheapo packages? No freakin' way dude.. give me a break.
We have about 50 clients.
We only host them with Cartika.

I say this again and again.
Don't spend less than $20/m on hosting unless you are a high school kid.

The list is a joke.

You take a million dollar industry as your customer and put them in Hostgator or any other cheapo packages?Well now, why is a "million dollar industry" getting shared hosting from a reseller? :)

Don't spend less than $20/m on hosting unless you are a high school kid.HG's reseller hosting is $20+. Can we use that to prove something? :)

I actually already have a good reseller account at PremiumReseller.Com
My domain is : fae30online.com
I have one Linux reseller account with them, never had an issue with them. Things are quite smooth over there.
I would recommend them.

Hello there...

AceGx is the best choise.

AceGx are far from being the best. Their support has gone right down hill the last few weeks. They experienced a massive hard drive failure and lost tons of data. A lot of people were p*ssed off to say the least. After that, I dont think they can be bothered anymore. I raised a ticket with them and I am still waiting for their "senior admin" to reply.. That was 7 days ago.

They suck big time!
Stay away and do research before you choose. There are good ones out there.

We're actually quite honored we made the list, however we're aren't going to say we're 10000% better than that list.

First off, if you give a little more info about your requirements...this way perhaps we can better serve your needs?

I've used servage for quite a while but also needed something more flexible, much faster with a control panel!

I've since moved to "geekstorage" and they have been great. Very quick support which I think is important. Speeds are very good and I'm happy with the hosting plans.

These guys don't massively oversell which I think was happening on servage, thus the slower speeds I had.
