Lets say I wanted to use a different helpdesk than the one that comes with WHMCS. How would I go about doing that. I see a drop down menu General Settings >>> Support .... but how do you get the script to acknowledge a different helpdesk?

I know theres customizations to make WHMCS go through Kayako for support..I'd check out their forums I think theres something about it there.

I think Matt needs to focus on either:

Adding support for new software (Modules such as the Kayako one)

Or improve the built in system with MAJOR improvements.

I find using WHMCS with Kayako works perfectly for me. The only problem is that the client dashboard doesn't display open tickets, which is just a minor issue. Otherwise it works perfectly :). I would recommend both systems for any host!

Matt built one to integrate (loginshare) Kayako, but the folks at the other end were having trouble making thier part work. Both forums were full of threads about it. I had trouble getting the login share to work as well, so simply changed the links and use Kayako directly. With both apps skinned the same, it's not easy to tell you're leaving one and entering the other.

I agree I really like WHMCS as I really liked CE but both leave me flat ( aka missing features ) in terms of the helpdesk.

I dont know if CE has gotten any better in terms of the helpdesk .... maybe I should look.

Tom Whiting/Linux tech networks provides integration services for Kayako and WHMCS. Might be worth having a look at their site or he might jump in here soon anyway.
